Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

What a cute hidden gem. I'm visiting from California so I wanted something authentic. The decor is unique and inviting. They let us in 10 min before opening which was nice. The waitress was friendly and efficient for the most part. We were the only guests for the majority of the night but once another big group arrived, the service got a little slower, hence the missing 5th star. The food was delicious. I had cream of broccoli soup. Chimichurri (sp?) chicken and sweet potato fries. Delicious! The sangria was also to die for. Only complaint - salad was soggy from too much dressing. All in all, great food and experience. Would def come back and try new things.

Nice experience. Beef is the way to go. Very nice venue and outstanding service. Beer wine and sangria. Fair price point.

Great food, great price! The atmosphere is beautiful! U can see the ocean!!! Friendly staff. This place is perfect! I highly recommend LOLA

Beautiful restaurant - and you would never know it's there... I'm so happy for Yelp reviews! We found this little restaurant on Yelp - and I know it will be a staple for all my future travel to Miami Beach. Beautiful view of the ocean, ambiance is suitable for a date night, all the decor is over the top... Then, there's the food! We had a pitcher of the Argentinian's version of Sangria - very refreshing with fruit and white wine...Ceviche was so fresh and delicious. I ordered the Thai Beef salad which had just the right amount of spice and my cousin ordered the skirt steak which melted in your mouth; cooked to perfection. I rarely give five stars - this place was worth the $$ both for the amazing tastes and the wonderful dining experience...

I'm really disappointed to write a bad review for a place but my recent experience had to be documented. First let me say that the hostess my group (11 men) met at the doorway was incredibly nice, accommodating and professional. We were running late and I called to let them know and she told us there was absolutely no problem with us being late. Our entire group agreed that if she had been our server this would have been a 5 star experience. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a condominium building and is rather small. I should also point out that they only have beer and wine. No Liquor. Something that we wish we had known in advance. Despite that everything up to this point was fine. It was mostly downhill from there. I don't know if it was his first day or he wasn't actually a waiter (maybe a busboy or bartender asked to help the wait staff) there but the gentleman that was our server was absolutely ABYSMAL. He was clueless about how to take our drink and food orders. He brought 1 out of our 11 their drink then over 15 minutes passed before the rest of us got our first drinks. At one point when he was asked what something on the menu was he had to go ask the hostess (who knew what she was doing) When we asked for the specials of the day we were told the wrong fish for the "catch of the day" and that the soup was just "chicken" (very descriptive, turns out it was chicken and vegetable after hearing the more prepared and professional waitress/hostess read out the specials to another table). All of us were incredibly thankful that it wasn't the chef's first day at the restaurant. Our food was FANTASTIC. My skirt steak came out perfect and the chimichurri trio is a must have! Thank god the food was great or my party might have walked out on the place. Our service (or lack there of) totally ruined our experience. Other members in my party also enjoyed the gnocchi and the seafood pasta as well as the pork chop. No complaints regarding the food whatsoever. This was a 1 star review until I remembered how pleased we were with our meals. When it came time to pay our bill our unskilled waiter took a long time to split the check. A LONG TIME. I'm talking over 20 minutes. Finally the skilled and professional hostess lady stepped in and once she did we got our checks quickly. Our unskilled waiter also grew hostile towards some of us that had issue with incorrect items on our individual checks. Very unprofessional. Again the food is great here but I hope when you come you get a real waiter and not whoever our guy was. Meal killer for sure.

I was looking for a hearty meal after getting off the plane, and LOLA was just a few steps away from the place my boyfriend and I were staying at. LOLA is near impossible to spot from the street as it is located inside of a hotel/condo building. As soon as you enter the lobby, head towards the stairs; LOLA is located on the second floor. We were seated promptly near the window - the view outside is quite nice and overlooks the pool/patio area of the building. My boyfriend and I both got the skirt steak (8 oz. and 12 oz). The skirt steak also comes with your choice of one side and he opted for the creamed spinach while I got the rice/beans. The food was decently good - the skirt steak was tender, but quite overcooked (we asked for medium). A little note about the ambiance (if you care about that sort of thing) - the restaurant is reminiscent of Miami's night life. Music pumping from the speakers, loud colors and prints. You get the gist. It's a little off-putting during the day time, but if you're just trying to get some food in your belly, none of this matters. All in all, LOLA is an A-OK restaurant to try if you're on the 5000 block of Collins Ave. trying to find something to eat.

LOLA was conveniently located to where my gf and I stayed in Miami. If you stay around the 5400 block of Collins Ave this is the highest ranked restaurant in the area on Yelp. My girlfriend and I visited LOLA on a Wednesday afternoon after getting off the airplane. We were the only people in the restaurant dining. The ambiance is pretty nice, very modern but I got the feeling that it was overkill especially for the place it was in. The ambiance might be more appropriate for dinner at night I guess. Since both my gf and I were starving after our plane ride we both opted for the Skirt steak (medium temp). I chose the creamy spinach gratin and she went with the rice and beans. The food took ~15 minutes to come out. My steak was definitely overcooked-- it was more of a medium well but since I was starving I didn't bother returning it back to the kitchen. The sides were good but nothing spectacular. The service was also sub-par, the waitress was more interested in talking with this random guy that kept on walking into the restaurant to drink water. I think he worked in the building. This area of Collins Ave is lacking for restaurants so if you do not want to take a trip down to the South Beach area this restaurant is one of your limited choices.
(3)Beatriz D.
Amazing experience! It was empty once we got there but im not sure why. We had the gnocchi pasta and the trufflata de dulce de leche! Which was AMAZING , its an ice cream truffle the waitress was attentive and the place beautifully designed!
(5)Jessica T.
The ambiance here is great. Quiet nicely lit. The sangria (red and white) are delicious!! Israeli couscous salad is regular couscous and no salad at all. A little disappointed with that.
(4)Michelle S.
My first yelp disappointment... The beet salad was good and so was the creamed spinach, but the yellow tail snapper? Dry and without flavor. Luckily the pico de gallo-type mix lightened it up a bit. The ambiance is too cold for me and the service sub-par compared to what the place is trying to be.

I found LOLA Restaurant & Grill while searching for romantic restaurants on Yelp. This place is the definition of a hidden gem. Their location is right smack in the nice parts of Miami with all the big, expensive hotels. It's located on the second floor of Oceanview Plaza, a huge condominium building. At first I thought it would be a huge hassle dealing with parking, but the valet was only three dollars (with a validation from the restaurant). I love the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant. It's the perfect place for date night. They have modern and classy interior, dim lighting, a candle & flower on each table, and romantic music playing. They also had a monitor playing a cozy fireplace, which I thought was cute. We started the evening with a glass of Rose and Riesling. We ordered the mussel appetizer in a white wine sauce that was so yummy, we ordered more bread to dip in the sauce. I tried the skirt steak and ribeye with chimichurri sauce-- they were both mouth-watering, but the ribeye was my favorite. It was so juicy, tender, and the fatty parts packed all the flavor. I also ordered the creamy spinach gratin as my side but it was meh-- nothing special. Since I can't get enough of flan & creme brulees, it's no surprise that I enjoyed their natilla catalana. The best thing about this place is that it's not crazy expensive for an Argentinean restaurant.
(5)Leo D.
Very good food, very good service and very beautiful romantic place! I recommend! We got as a appetizer the grilled provolone cheese and it was fantastic! For dinner we, me and my wife, get the Skirt Steak with fries and Alfredo Shrimp Ricotta Raviole... The both was simple AMAZING! :) Go and check it out!
(5)Denise C.
Sooo....ok....great ambiance. Beautiful decor and lighting. However. ...we reserved a table for 11, celebrating my niece's birthday. We ordered our food and it took forever! Somehow they decided to bring the appetizer at the same time as the entrée! Who does that? We also asked for bread and it took about 30 minutes to receive it. We brought up our concerns to the waiter and he almost started arguing with us. Definitely an interesting encounter. The food was ok...nothing special. Therefore. ...the food combined with the horrible service, I do not plan to return. Disappointed....

Great discovery! This place is kind of hidden but it is sooo worth trying! The decor is cool and has great lighting, it makes it romantic and yet modern and chic, great music, ambiance and service! We came here looking to eat a good steak without winding up at the typical chain steakhouse and BINGO! We had one of THE BEST STEAKS we've had in Miami ever! We had the NY and they had it cooked to perfection for each one of us plus our table also had the special fish which was a buttery like texture perfect tasty Branzino YUM! We also had the blue cheese croquettes for appetizer and they were beautifully fried to perfection, tasty and not too strong. For dessert, tiramisu, Crema Catalana and the brownie. All nice and a good end to our dinner. Overall a great experience, for sure recommending this place to all our friends and want to make sure to give a hymns up to our great waitress who apart from knowing very well her wines was a perfect compliment to our experience. Also the host was great by setting the air a bit lower for our comfort! Bravo!

Lola... You are one star away that I reluctantly can't give you. Found this little gem on yelp one hungry evening. It was worth it. It's located inside a condo building and you must valet. (Remember to validate ticket) I ordered the churrasco, but was served a filet mignon. I had to send it back and by the time my food arrived, my fiancé was done eating. But the steak was well seasoned, juicy and perfectly prepared. The spinach was creamy and savory. My fiancé had a pork chop and sweet potatoes. Both were delicious! We were offered dessert for the error and had some chocolate mousse. It was light and the perfect end to the perfect meal. Next time I go I hope to not have any mistakes, and I'll pay my own dessert and bump these guys from 4 to 6 stars ! Bravo !

This restaurant was Hidden gem Excellent food and Service " High recommend !" Everything we try was excellent Have go back to try the Skirt Steak .....
(5)Phil M.
I will echo everyone else comment and say the skirt steak is very good. Also had the thai beef salad (also very good). The design was well done and tasteful. I'll be back when I'm in that area again.

Walked in Saturday 7pm; no wait fast service. Since we live in Miami we've experience plenty of decent restaurants. We decided to try Lola at the last minute. We ordered App: blue cheese croquettes, entree: skirt steak/sweet potato fries, pork chop/mash. We were looking for a quick meal. We got just that, a decent meal. Steak was cooked perfect. 2" thick pork chop was not dry and cooked through. The croquettes were not greasy with a very creamy blue cheese filling (nicely done). Sweet potato fries were very crisp and fresh. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant mash. Overall the meal was a bit salty for my taste and IMO based solely on the decor, the restaurant manager should wear a dress shirt or atleast a jacket instead of t-shirt and tattered jeans. The servers were very attentive and seemed pleased to explain/present the menu. It has indoor or outdoor seating by the pool with the beach/ocean as its backdrop. The indoor seating is very retro, someone described it as a "scarface" theme and I would certainly agree. Black/white/chrome leather everywhere with red/pink neon lighting. This restaurant is a great quick dinner spot, not pricey, not fancy, valet is only $4 after you get your parking stub validated. We skipped the drinks and desert. It's a nice date night spot. It's worth a second visit.

Sir First would like to say how much we enjoyed our dinner last night. My wife and I were seated by the window near the bar. Our waitress was the bartender and was wonderful and attentive! The skirt steak and mixed green salad was very very good. Second Thing was, we were admiring your barstools, where did you purchase them if you don't mind us asking? We have a bar at home and thought they would look great. Thank you Eric & Jane Schneider Lancaster PA Sent from my iPhone

Came here last night and enjoyed the skirt steak w/ mashed potatoes. Everything was nicely cooked (medium) and very tasty. Service was ok..it looked like no one wanted to be working there, but whatever. Dessert was delicious as well (brownie w/ ice cream and a latte)
(4)Erika L.
Wow...the decor of this place left me speechless--and not in a good way. The owners must have worked on the set of Scarface and walked off with the restaurant scene props. Lots of chrome, red leather and shiny black accents. This food wasn't great. Our meals were way over salted (mussels and ravioli) and the white wine sangria-like beverage (at $32/pitcher) was really nothing more than a can of cocktail fruit mixed with Pinot Grigio. The service was friendly but a bit inattentive and the a/c definitely needed to be turned up. Overall, the pricey menu and excessive charges (a la cart sauces, 18% gratuity and a resort tax) do not justify the experience. We did, however, enjoy our dessert (creme brûlée/custard).
(2)Lisa J.
Pretty restaurant oddly in a condo building in Miami Beach - nice outdoor area, pretty view. We cabbed it there, but they offered to validate parking so that's pretty nice. Ordered the Sangria with red wine - pitcher is pretty big - it was very good but be warned that it is very filling. Appetizers were the ceviche (HUGE amount), Beet Salad and a green salad. All were very good, thought the portions were generous. For dinner we tried the salmon and the skirt steak. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned really well. Overall this was a very good dinner and everyone was very nice, would definitely go back. Nice to have a little quiet meal in the craziness that Miami can be. Take note - they add a 20% gratuity to your check and then leave a line for you to tip further. Not a fan of that, not sure why they need that since I would have tipped 20% based on the evening anyway.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Normally this is our "go to" place for family celebrations. The last two times we've been here it's been a disaster. But this last time was the worst experience ever. Food salty. Service was almost nonexistent. Took forever to have our order taken, even our drink order. Could not get the waiter or busboy to bring water before or during our meal. They seem to remember to fill the water glasses every 5 minutes after the table was cleared. The experience was so awful, that we didn't order dessert or coffee. I use to ALWAYS recommend this place. Not anymore.
(1)Jannine A.
First of all it is important to let you know that this rest is in the first floor of a residential building The view from the rest os very nice overlooking thw beach Very welcoming staff Food is very delicius but portions are a little bit small Dont forget to try the provoleta cheese is very tasty
(4)Antonio P.
My family ate here on vacation. The decor was great and so was the service. The food was authentic and delicous. The only problem was that it was vallet park only. The steak sandwhich was awesome.
(5)Kenny M.
Impressive food, service, and decor. I would highly recommend this place. Like a fellow yelper explained, this place is a hidden gem. Kelly was my server, she was fast and prompt, kept the water full, and knew the menu inside and out. She gave us many suggestions, all of which turned out great. We started with the mussels, I forget what she explained was in that sauce, but I've never tasted a better combination. The skirtsteak medium rare melts in your mouth. I finished it off with the house made chocolate mouse, which was pretty good, a little runny but worth it! They don't have any spirits here, that was the only disappointing thing about the entire night. Oh, and did I mention that the service was top knotch?! Bring a woman here guys, she won't be disappointed!

We absolutely LOVED LOLA! It's such a cute restaurant with great service and excellent food! While in Miami, we were looking for a restaurant near the beach with good reviews, and LOLA came up in our search. At first we thought it was in South Beach (that was our original intent), but as we drove further and further north, we realized our direction sense was off. Oh well, we were A-OK with not being in the craziness. LOLA is in a condominium building and you have to valet if you're driving. Once inside, the restaurant is upstairs. The restaurant itself is a great space. It's cute with modern decor and an awesome ambiance, great for a date, a girls' night, or just a chill spot to grab drinks and great food. OK so the food. YUM!!! We ordered the spinach ravioli and of course the skirt steak. Both were AMAZING!! The skirt steak was cooked to perfection, and the spinach ravioli had an awesome cream sauce. We both loved our meals...so much so the only pics we could take were the after shots of empty plates. After dinner we ordered the creme brulee (even though I don't think it was labeled that on the menu). It was also very good! We sat outside and there's a great view of the pool and the ocean not far in the distance. For the ambiance, the food, the service, and the price...LOLA gets 5 stars from me! Next time we're in the area we will certainly stop by again!
(5)Fredy Y.
If you want to see what the 80's looked like come to LOLA, I felt inside GTA vice city or Miami vice take your pick. Although the restaurant had few patrons the night we ate here, no one greeted us at the front, when we entered. When someone finally came out, they just motioned to sit wherever. We waited a while for service. One server even rolled his eyes, when I decided to sit on the opposite side of the table than where he directed. Water was not refilled until we got ready to leave, and it took a while to get our check. Having said that, the ceviche was delicious-some of the best we've ever had! The potatoes and skirt steak was cooked right, but came with no sauce(should have been mentioned by server), the pork chop dinner, rice and beans, was like what I cook at home. Good comfort food. No restrooms inside, had to search down hall, and it was disgusting. Better service and attention to order would have given this restaurant a higher rating.
(3)Erin L.
The atmosphere was great... Perfect for a date night and just a short walk from my mom's condo. Definitely a little swankier than I imagined. The ceviche was great, perfectly fresh and lime-y. I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir which looked watered down and tasted odd. The waiter did not hesitate to replace it with a glass of Malbec. Next we ordered the skirt steak which was perfectly delicious, although we did have to ask for chimichurri which should be a given in my humble opinion. And a bit stingy on the chimichurri if i might add. We also ordered the Linguine Frutti Di Mare which got rave reviews; however, it was a bit disappointing. 5 of the 6 mussels in the dish were not open. Not good. And the ratio of pasta to seafood was 5:1... Sad to see since the reviews of this dish were super high. We told the waiter and he promptly had the kitchen send out cooked, open mussels. Great on his part, but in my opinion that should never happen. Its not like the cooks in the kitchen cant see the mussels are closed! I will definitely be back at some point, likely for a more romantic outing and with skirt steak in mind. I would recommemd making a reservation to sit outside and enjoy the miami beach air! Free dessert and a sexy Argentino waiter to make up for the mishaps.
(4)Candice H.
This is one of the few places where you can walk right up or down from the beach and enjoy a meal. There is a view of the ocean, but you can't see the beach since it's higher up. This is located in such a secluded condo complex and so under rated. The food is excellent and so well price, especially their GIANT pitcher of sangria (red being my fav) for $32. This guy pours 10 cups...I swear it's that big and that good. The food is so delicious and not overpriced like the rest of Miami. The service is great and expected. The outdoor patio looks over a community pool which looks out over the water. I'll take it since South Beach really doesn't have that many beach front dining venues... Mussels are a must, their Cheese appetizer (yes it sounds weird) but is so good is a must (comes with a side of tomatoes - like bruschetta). Their steak with mushroom sauce is so savory with a lot of mushrooms. I love their sides - fries, creamed spinach. It's a must stop shop. When you are done, take a stroll on the beach back to your hotel on South Beach. You'll get a good workout for your legs post meal.
(5)Camron M.
The perfect blend of swanky and casual. My husband and I wanted a nice date night and we trusted Yelp to show us a great restaurant. It didn't dissappoint. Martin (said with a think Argentinian accent - Marteeeeen) delivered impeccable service. I ordered the catch of the day (some whole fish I had never heard of) and husband ordered filet. I'm astonished how many restaurants can screw up a filet. Lola did not screw it up. Simply seasoned, perfectly seared. The fish was also simple and delicious. We also ordered the beet salad (yum!) and desserts. Everything was good. The ambiance was sophisticated yet unpretentious. The best part was the service. Marteeeeeen was awesome!
(5)Waleska P.
Amazing ambiance, decor, service and last but not least delicious food. Had a great family celebration, group of 12, and were very happy with the whole experience...
(5)S S.
Delicious food, great service, un-Miami like prices! After driving all day and checking in to our horrible hotel down the street we were in search of a solid meal. Miami is full of overpriced everything, everywhere. This was not the case at Lola. We arrived around 10:30 and the restaurant was emptying out. Being in the business I felt bad sitting down but the server assured us it was fine and gave us a romantic corner table. Ribeye steaks were fresh and cooked to perfection. Wine was great too! My partner is very picky and this was perfect because you can pick from a list of sides and sauces leaving a basic steak frites for him while I could get a bit more adventurous. Service was on point and perfect!
(5)Yany R.
I went to Lolas for Valentines Day with my boyfriend. The place looks bigger in pictures but is still very nice and romantic. I loved the decor and the entrance as well. We were seated quickly even though we arrived late for our reservation, Our server was Martin. He was nice but wasn't as helpful as we would have liked. Took forever to refill our water, and bring certain things we asked for. The food was delish, we had the shrimp appetizer (amazing!), the skirt steak with mash and the chimichurri trio sauce (also amazing!) my boyfriend had the new york steak with sweet potatoe fries and the mushroom sauce (amazing as well!) Overall, our experience with the food was awesome and towards the end the serve Maria took care of us! I have to say MARIA was AMAZING! She was sooo helpful helping us pick our dessert, and talking to us about the restaurant, she even took pictures for us since we wanted some nice memories. She was definitely AWESOME! i HOPE THIS REVIEW REACHES HER BOSS SO THAT SHE GETS RECOGNIZED. The reason why I gave it 4 stars was because our initial serve Martin ended up getting the gratuity when we wish we could have given it to Maria instead. So Maria if you ever read this THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR VALENTINES DAY DINNER SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!
(4)John M.
First of all, the service Maria gave to us was 2nd to none. Our waitress not only took great care of us with her service, but she also had a great since of humor and made us laugh. The food the wine for a romantic evening out with your bride! What a great way to start a vacation. Ask for Maria when you visit Lola Restaurant & Grill in Miami Beach, Fl.
(5)Vicki C.
I had read online that Lola was a hidden gem so I had to give it a try. Happily, it was no exaggeration! The staff was friendly and happy, the apps were great and the steaks were Devine! The wine was good and cheap and the entire bill was about half of anything comparable on the beach. The Fried Provolone, mussels app, ceviche are not to be missed. Martin was gracious. Although we had dinner with a party of 9, the restaurant is also very romantic if you are going on a date. All in all a wonderful experience.
(5)Angelica L.
Wow!!! Just wow! Food, service, and decor get a +A
(5)John D.
Was looking for a place in the area for a first date and the reviews sold me, and I'm glad. Tucked in an older (though not old) luxury condo on the Beach this is an atmospheric and comfortable smaller venue with both indoor and outdoor seating. I chose it partially because of loving the menu and Ceviche and Grilled Provolone Apps did not disappoint, the Ceviche in particular being delightful and a huge portion, easily meant for two. While originally intent on a Skirt Steak my date and I were both sold on a Mahi based light red sauced seafood casserole special that was exceptional and accompanied by the very best white rice I have ever experienced, perfectly cooked and with a nicely salted tang. A house Garnacha was surprisingly lovely accompaniment. Four stars for somewhat lackluster and less than attentive service tho polite. Since we were a very early, as in opening, table this may have been due to short staff on the early shift. Prices are extremely reasonable, serving generous and valet parking is only $3.00 with validation, aka free. You can spend a hell of a lot more for a hell of a lot less in the area if that's your thing. LOLA is my new go to on the Beach.
(4)Sarah U.
this place was amazing, i would come back to miami just for this. inside a hotel, fairly small but beautiful restaurant with impeccable service. went with group of 10. the menu should be priced higher for how high of quality ingredients and portion size and flavor. two words: SKIRT STEAK everything was to die for, we got to try a lot of the menu with so many people
(5)Joe T.
Great waiter cool from Italy Great owners Fantastic delicious food, prepared so well, custom, to order! I highly recommend !
(5)Rosa D.
HIDDEN GEM!! I just went to this restaurant after seaching for a romantic and inexpensive restaurant on Open Table and boy did we hit the "Jackpot"! It's beautiful, small and romantic! The food was delicious and the presentation was amazing. The waitress was very attentive but not overbearing. We will definitely be coming back to this "Hidden Gem"!
(5)Klara S.
It's been a while since I was there, so I can't recall what my dinner companions had, but I remember everyone leaving satisfied. I had a pasta dish - it was delicious and the portion was not too huge. The best part about LOLA is the decor. It is warm and inviting, and in some spots you can see the ocean. The wait staff is very attentive and rife with suggestions. It is also super reasonable in terms of price - especially for the area.
(4)Clein D.
We live walking distance to here. I can say the food is good, as well as amazing sangrias but it's a bit pricey for what you get. We still go frequently because it's so close. I would try it if your around! Mussels are amazing as well as skirt steak and spinach ravioli
(4)Chris K.
Enjoyed a group dinner here with my family. Awesome atmosphere with outstanding service and staff. Ordered one red and one white of the Sangria...delicious! Then we ordered several of the appetizers, all were great. For the main I ordered the flank steak...amazing!! Definitely and overall A+ establishment.
(5)Phil T.
Because the night was so lovely, my husband and I decided we'd walk over a couple of blocks and try Lola....the restaurant down the street from our rental. Honestly, I wasn't all that hungry but it was Saturday and we have a standing dinner date every two weeks. (Sorry all of you in the East and mid-west....we know you are suffering with a terrible winter.) The atmosphere in the place was great for an intimate dinner.:soft lighting, and the tables were dressed in sparkling white. They had a very reasonable wine list and the Suaviangn blanc was indeed very nice. I ordered the trout, prepared in light lemon with butter. It was the best trout I've ever eaten. The french fries were so light and crisp they melted in my mouth. My husband ordered sirloin medium rare with a trio of churri sauces. He ate every bite. Every server was pleasant. And the whole room had a relaxed cheerful feeling to it. I heard the young scandanvanian couple next to us rave about the salmon and the beet salad. There two well-behaved little girls who ordered from children's menu. (Looked like mini burgers and fries). So, the place is child friendly. Altogether it was one of the best dinners I've had in Miami. Hope you try it!

We were staying at the Castle hotel next door and found that a high ranked yelp restaurant was within walking distance. Got in around 8pm on a Saturday night and it was not packed at all. We ate outside with the wind from the coast blowing in pleasantly from the east. The waiter seemed a little rushed and not to friendly, but thats the way it should be. If I wanted to have long convos with my waiter than maybe I should be out eating with them instead! The Sangria was $24.99 for a pitcher and was a great value. Wasnt "The best I ever had" but it was a very great Sangria. The Chimichurri Chicken was tender and delicious. The Salmon was also very delectable . Only reason I did not give a 5 was because of the time it took to get a bill and get going. If we were in a hurry it would have been most unpleasant. Deff give LOLA a try, you wont regret the decision. VERY romantic spot for you lovebirds....

What a pleasant surprise this restaurant was. My friends and I were in Miami and wanted a nice sit down dinner that was close to our hotel and we saw some pretty good reviews so we decided to check it out. The ambiance of this place was really nice and was akin to an upscale lounge more than a restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and the food actually was really good. We were all happy with what we each ordered and satisfied. Turns out, our waitress was also the owner of the restaurant and she was super friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back to this place again and try some of their other specials. We almost came back the next night but some others wanted to venture out to other places. If you are in Miami Beach, it will be worth it to check it out.

Food was great. Service left a lot to be desired. We were there for 3 hours and the AC wasn't working. Waiter offered dessert in the middle of the dinner but I really just wanted to leave. I was sweating. Not a good experience. Shame because food was good.

First things first, This place is hidden in a hotel on the second floor, you will need to valet ($3), and when you get inside ask te front desk where to go -- no problem. You walk in, the place is very cute, modern, has a great view, can sit inside or outside, and it very comfortable overall. One weird thing is that the bathrooms are outside the restaurant, and actually a little walk down the hall, and sort of hidden -- ask someone to direct you. I like to walk my hands after I order my good and touch commonly held items like menus so I took the walk :) We went on a week night during dinner time, the place was empty, which I didn't understand because the more I ate the more I loved the place. Our server (I forget her name) was absolutely amazing, so sweet and friendly, perfect with the order and checking on us, and great joking with the kids. She definitely made the meal better and when we left I told her what a pleasure she was. On to food, they bring you warm bread and some amazing butter to start, so delicious that you can't want to start eating. They cook it as your order and bring it out once it's ready, so definitely order an app first and have a drink. Dinner for 5 was a confetti able 2 hour meal, and I so mean comfortable. They will come around and clean your dining spot after they take each plate away and bring new silverware as well. As a table we all like to share apps and meals so I got to try a bunch of things. I am not a meat/beef person at all and the sliders were excellent. The provoletta was strange to me; the cheese by itself was excellent but I felt it should come with bread of some type, and i didn't understand how it went together with the bruschetta type mix it came with on the side. Regular fries and sweet potatoes fries, duh, you can't go wrong, I really loved the sweet potato fries. The most enjoyable item I had was the Israeli couscous, it was out of this world delicious. My sister ordered it too as an app, and thought it was as amazing as I did. It's a nice large portion that could easily be a main course sans the protein. For a main course I ordered the fruitti do mare, pasta with assorted fish (mussels, clams, calamari, shrimp) in a thick tomato sauce. I'm italian, I'm quite sick of pasta, but I was in the mood and ended up really enjoying this dish. Very fresh and tasty, and not a mess considering the red sauce. Paired this with some Malbec and I was good. I tried a bite of the salmon too, it was fresh and what I expected. Of course I had a little space for the brownie Sunday, I'm a complete sucker for a hot homemade brownie with cold ice cream on top. It was out of this world delicious, and the way I ended the meal. So food was delicious, service was excellent, valet parking is cheap, you have a choice to done indoors or outdoors, and it's empty so it's perfect for a family conversation or intimate date. Love this place and will be back next time I'm in Miami.

Absolutely incredible food! Katarina was the best server! She was so nice and served us Literally the best Skirt Steak I have ever had. Wonderful service and great atmosphere. Top notch experience.
(5)Bri B.
Sunday afternoon: one single server for the entire restaurant. We waited 45minutes for our food ( 20 for our drinks, 30 min for bread) and then the orders were wrong. We got up and left. Only upside was that at least we didn't have to pay for the 3 drinks we had. Service was just a complete desaster, never going back again & would not recommend to anyone.

This place is a hidden gem! I planned a surprise birthday party for my fiance at Lola and could not have had better food, service and ambiance. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and we were sat at the big table in the center of it all - made us feel like royalty! The food is delicious and so reasonably priced compared to other Miami Beach hotspots and steakhouses. We had 7 people and with appetizers, 2 bottles of wine for the table and full meals for everyone, it was about $50 per person! They even let us bring in our own cake (no extra cutting fees) and dealt with almost 5 minutes of him blowing out those fake-out birthday candles that keep relighting. Martin is a joy to work with and made our experience first-class. We will be back!

Very good restaurant, reasonably priced compared to other steak houses, their beet salad is incredible and the steak is fantastic, service is very good. I found this just with the help of yelp, it is in the mezzanine of a condo, parking is valet only, very nice, clean, and good decor, you have the option of dining outside overlooking the pool of the condo if you like the outdoors. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, it is located two blocks away from my old apt and I never went there while I lived in Miami Beach. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star rating is because the steak was slightly overcooked. I asked for a medium and I got a medium well, however the flavor was fantastic so I did not mentioned it to the waitress. Highly recommend the beet salad, the filet mignon, and the brownie with ice-cream.

I made reservations here through Open Table on Yelp for a bachelorette party. I received a confirmation email - 5 people, 3pm on a Saturday - and indicated in the note that it was for a bachelorette party. 1. I'll take it that I should've checked the timings on their website or read it properly on Yelp to notice they close at 3pm and reopen in the evening. However, given that: 2. I should not have received a reservation confirmation - and if the company has the ability to see that I made a reservation at a time that they aren't open - and reached out to me!! 3. I should not have the ability to even make a reservation at a time when the restaurant is closed. 4. When we walked in at 3pm, the server refused us service because he said all the cooks had gone home. Ok - I thought he was pulling our leg at first since we had a reservation. Also, I find it odd that the chefs go home immediately at the time that their restaurant closes - but maybe they do here! Either way, the server gave us a recommendation for somewhere else to go (and said their food is probably better than his anyway - made it appear like he was bitter to work there). I was very upset my party and I couldn't eat here. The reviews seemed great. I would've normally loved to go back because the reviews are great - but we will find out - I may try it out during their open hours, or I may never go there again.

Really 3.5.....enjoyed the food, the decor and the waitstaff. The steak was delicious, chimi was okay, potatoes crispy and flavorful. Everyone's food showed up well and was hot. Another note - to me these are some of the best prices I've seen for dining in a place where you'll feel pretty. The only thing that might have deflated is the location. It's inside the building and there was our group and some old chicks enjoying dinner. Very lowkey, low energy.
(4)Daniel P.
Amazing! I ordered the Bronzino and wife ordered chicken. The fish was excellent. Juicy not dry. The sangria is a must, red that is. The atmosphere is elegant.
(5)Joe S.
Just opened a year ago over all I can say they are going thur some grow pains, not best experience but I would give them another shot.
(3)laura g.
LOLA is wonderful and deserves all of the accolades given via these reviews. My boyfriend enjoyed the best ceviche he's ever had; we both loved our perfectly prepared steaks; I devoured delicious sweet potato fries; and both happily gorged on dessert. The service and ambience were equally excellent. We can't wait to return on our next visit to Miami Beach.
(5)Lauren D.
Amazing food, reasonable prices, beautiful atmosphere. Really is a hidden gem. I found it on yelp while looking for a place for me and my boyfriend to have dinner that was in walking distance from our hotel. I read the reviews and decided we would check it out. The reviews are true. Lola is now going to be our go to place after much disappointment with restaurants in Miami, usually way over priced and poor quality. This place is a must!
(5)Kent N.
Good food, service was lacking and decor is a bit dated. But the Skirt steak was delicious.
(3)Karin N.
Great food, amazing interior, and chill/knowledgeable staff. A little more pricy but worth every cent. It was me, my brother, and my parents, everyone was very pleased.
(5)Elle M.
I thought it was a good meal. Very decently priced for Miami Beach. This place is in a condo building so finding it may be difficult if you are not familiar with the area. It's a small restaurant but very cute. I didn't see a drink menu, just beer and wine. We had a reservation but still had to wait a while. Definitely check it out! I ordered the skirt steak :)
(4)Amanda O.
LOLA is the hidden gem of Miami Beach. After a few disappointing and overpriced dinners, this was the restaurant we needed. It is VERY reasonably priced, and the portion sizes were generous. The food was cooked perfectly, my entire party had not one thing to complain about. Maria was our server and she was attentive, but not overbearing. Our waters were always full and the wine was great. A+ for service. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Modern, new, fresh. We went on a Saturday and they had 2 live jazz players. It's only 6 months old, but I can guarantee once they become more established, people will be lining up to make reservations here. Cannot recommend this place enough. THANK YOU!!!
(5)Randy A.
Dinner was superb! We started the night with the mussels provensal and provoleta. Both appetizers were delicious and satisfying. The pitcher of sangria was on the sweeter side and had some grit at the end from the fruit, but was also quite tasty. For entrees, my group ordered the skirt steak and salmon, which were cooked to perfection. The skirt steak wasn't overcooked and there were no complaints about the salmon. As for sides, the creamy spinach gratin, sweet potato fries, and mashed potatoes were also wonderful. The staff was very attentive and assisted us quickly with an error with one of our side orders and fixed the mistake promptly. The chocolate brownie wasn't what I really expected for dessert, but who could really complain about a chocolate brownie with chocolate ice cream and chocolate ganache? I still enjoyed it. I would highly recommend coming here for dinner and would come here again if I made my way back to Miami.
(4)Susana F.
Wow where do I even begin?! The food here was absolutely fantastic. Ambiance is beautiful and best part it overlooks the ocean. I was lucky enough to eat here on Fourth of July so during dinner we were able to watch the fireworks on the beach. The service was equally amazing. Our waiter Martin, the George Clooney look-alike lol, was the best! I went with a large party for a bachelorette party and our food came out at the same time and perfectly hot. Most of us had the skirt steak and it was out of this world. Best I've ever had, seriously! I cannot believe how cheap our meal was too. Tip was included with the meal, most of us had steak dinners and sangria and it all came to $25 a person!! Say what?!? I don't know anywhere else in Miami where you can get the best of the best for that price. This place is new and I can see why it's such a hidden gem. I will absolutely return soon!
(5)Terry H.
I read the reviews on Yelp and had to give Lola's a try. I was totally blown away - the NY steak was cooked to perfection and the fries were piping hot! I had to finish with the warm chocolate brownie- best meal I've had on this business trip- I'll be back tomorrow to try the fish of the day. In a word -Awesome!
(5)Yasmine H.
Great quaint place with wonderful ambiance! Food was fabulous and the chef delivered the food himself! This place is tucked away in a condo building, but the reviews helped us find a place to eat a wonderful meal. They had outdoor seating and the servers were top notch.
(4)Melissa S.
I was really impressed with the food! The place was not busy and I'm not sure why because the food was great! The shrimp appetizer was my favorite. Service was also impressive. I highly recommend this place.
(5)Laith D.
Came here with a group of friends from out of town and I'm so happy we did! After reading reviews for over an hr I finally decided on this place. Everything was perfect! Our waiter Martin was exceptional and very nice! The mussels for appetizer were my favorite! Everyone loved all of the food they got. My rib eye was cooked to perfection topped with a fantastic mushroom sauce. Wine and dessert to top it all off I highly recommend LOLA!!
(5)Mary S.
The restaurant is located in a quaint South Beach Condominium right off of Collins Ave. Everything from the decor, to the service, and right down to the food was five star! Our server Martin accommodated our large group and was patient and on point. The steaks were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the mussells for an appetizer!
(5)Tim M.
Superb little quaint restaurant. Romantic, quiet, delicious. Great service, quality of the food and value were incredible. Owner is awesome! I would go back if I were in town again.
(5)Nadelia C.
I have only been to LOLA once (for dinner) and it was absolutely delicious! The sangria was perfect; just fruity enough, and every meal served at our table was extraordinary! Another day, my husband went to lunch there with his friend Michael, who has been there many, many times because he lives in the building... Michael suggested he have the burger and said "THIS IS THE BEST BURGER YOU WILL EVER HAVE". My husband thought he was exaggerating but figured "I'll have it anyway". My husband's review of the burger~~"I have just had the most delicious burger I have ever eaten"... and he's had lots of great burgers including Rok Burger (which are quite good) and many others. BUT THE BURGER AT LOLA IS BETTER, MUCH BETTER! And the service? It's great too...attentive with just the right amount of friendly! The prices are fair and they even validate parking! Go to LOLA!
(5)Luis C.
Pleasantly surprised. We were with family that lives close by. Looking for something different, we yelped and found this hidden gem with 4.5 stars. Inconspicuous location with an early 80's decor but very clean and impeccable service. Maria was excellent. Go for the goat cheese croquettas and Lola salad to start. The chicken was perfect, the vacio came out as ordered and the snapper was super fresh. Will definitely return next time I'm in the neighborhood.
(4)Apisit K.
Foods were good and very reasonable price compare with the location and interior design also the service was great too.
(5)Alexis V.
I came here last night. I had as an appetizer the Bleu Cheese Croquettes (by far delicious when paired with the jam). We also had the Curry Paste Shrimp (recommended). I ordered the NY steak and Spinach Gratin. The steak was a little bland but the Spinach Gratin was amazing. It was my mothers birthday so we got her the Natilla Catalana (Creme Brûlée) and it was very good. We also had the Sangria. It was good but I prefer the Sangria at a restaurant closer to home called Latin a House. I would only come back for the appetizers.
(4)Ray J.
Everything is wonderful at Lola's. As a rule we don't like to repeat restaurants on our travels, but we went to Lola's twice during our first three. Nights in Miami Beach. Pasta and seafood are terrific. The sangria is a bit expensive, but every bit worth it. Lola's is a little tricky to find, but worth the effort.
(5)C K.
I don't understand how not everyone has heard about this place and has mobbed it yet! Service was excellent. Definitely top notch service. Their sangria is the best sangria I've ever had! Ordered the sweet potato side as an appetizer. Very delicious fries. Just the right amount of crunchy on the outside and super moist on the inside. They had a great chicken soup in special that looked like it was home made. Large delicious chunks of chicken and potatoes. The steak was delicious, and the salads were very fresh with a light lemon dressing. Great meal and service and truly a hidden gem!
(5)Anne C.
Pretty nice. Great prices and atmosphere. Very small restaurant which is nice. I went in at 10 pm and got right in but there were quite a few people still there might need reservations at a busier hour. Steaks are wonderful and not priced outrageously. Only thing is I feel they were a tad short staffed. Our waiter was great but he forgot to bring me a drink until I got my meal, when he remembered he said it was on him, so that was really nice. Two steaks and appetizer and desert was only $80.00! Can't be that in Miami.
(4)Sara H.
We stayed next door and with not much around, used Yelp to find a place close for dinner - loved it so much we went back a few nights later. Reservations highly recommended - bot worth it! The ambiance was great - food was wonderful and the staff was very pleasant and professional! Highly recommend! a true hidden treasure of Miami Beach!
(4)My C.
The food here was so good!! For appetizers, we got the mussels and the cerviche. The mussels were really good - the sauce was really amazing! But the cerviche, oh my gosh, that dish was ON POINT. So good. The salmon with the truffle sauce was amazing as well; the salmon was cooked perfectly! The skirt steak was also very good! For sides, the mashed potatoes were pretty good, but very whipped, and I felt like gravy would've made it a lot better! The rice and beans were good too! The vegetable of the day was broccoli, but it was soooooo mushy... Not good. The service was good, but very very slow... For drinks, we got a pitcher of the sangria, and if was very tasty. Overall, they had amaaaazing food with subpar service, however, since the food was so good, LOLA still gets 5 stars!
(5)Samantha Y.
Cute restaurant with delicious food and great wine selection! Service was slightly slower (compared to ny) but definitely worth the wait. Actually got to enjoy our entire bottle of wine and then order dessert. Brownie and cappuccinos are on point! We had the skirt steak and boccincini (both amazing and highly recommended) - blue cheese croquettes delish! Very nice staff :)
(4)Heiner P.
Dinner was excellent. Every dish fab. Elegant decor. We had the beet salad, curry shrimp, mussels appetizers. Recommend all, especially the mussels in a light creamy garlic sauce! Our friends had ribeye and skirt steaks respectively which were tasty and succulent . My wife had the stuffed ravioli special which was out of this world , and I had the double cut chop with a garlicky pepper rub that lent special flavor. Three of us had the bacon fried sweet potatoes, also faultless. Four of us shared the large pitcher of sangria. The bill came to $92 incl tip for 4 stuffed adults. This place is a gem you should not miss. We plan on going back next opportunity. The service was friendly, unobtrusive yet attentive .
(5)Alexis C.
I liked the experience at the restaurant. The decoration, the quality of the food and overall service was excellent. The only thing was that I told the staff with plenty of time that I was having a valentine's dinner and they didn't do nothing special.
(4)Tiffanie N.
This restaurant was perfect! Great ambiance, service, and the food was amazing. I had the Chimichurri Marinated Chicken and it was beyond amazing...moist and flavorful. We also had the salmon with mushroom and bacon sauce, spinach gratin, and mashed potatoes. Everyone in our group was pleased with their meal. The service took the visit to the next level. After visiting some other recommended places we realized service is lacking in Miami. Not at Lola!!! I'd definitely recommend for a date night, girl'a trip, or just a good meal in general!
(4)Greg W.
Good food, GREAT service. From the menu it looked like a lot of common dishes that you would see everywhere, but most of it had it's own unique spin on it. The service staff was hustling and friendly, never a moment when I said "where is the waitress"? For a #1 rated place on Yelp, prices were super reasonable too. Also, there's a huge parking lot 3 blocks south, if you want to avoid valet charges.
(4)Santiago C.
I rarely give 5 stars but the combination of service and food plus taste was all just amazing. The place had a great ambiance and was very clean and elegant. I had the rib eye and my girlfriend had the skirt steak both steaks were cooked to perfection (you ask for medium and that's what you get) the sangria was good a little on the sweet side but enjoyable if you go you must start with the Peruvian ceviche and the mussels the mussels were mouth watering and the ceviche had just enough lemon where it doesn't feel too acidic we ended the meal with a cappuccino and a latte since we were so full!! Perfect dining experience.
(5)Barbie J.
I went to this place last week. #1 the place is beautiful, a secret gem in all the madness that is south beach. You go up a winding stair case to the entrance of the restaurant. So Posh...Your greeted by double doors and a Onix black hostess stand. It's Visually stunning; there is white quilted back splash with a mettle button/ornament really intricate. I had one of there salads so good. The steak was even better, I ordered it med rare and I had spinach as a side. The smell of truffle sauce filled the table as my friends slowly sipped wine. We had a great time in this low key, high class steak place. It even over looks a pool. This place would be great anytime of day. I totally recommend it all my friends when ever there looking for a great steak place.
(5)Yana S.
Fantastic in every way. Great food, lovely decor, great service, moderate price. It's a hidden gem worth a visit. No street presence. A little hard to find.
(5)Sandrine P.
This is my first time in this restaurant and I am in love. Real hidden gem. Not so expensive for a steak house. You can eat inside or outside near by the swimming pool. But I prefer by night and inside because it so cosy. Quality food is very good too. I will go back
(5)Eric C.
If you're in Miami Beach area and haven't discovered LOLA yet, hurry up! Great Atmosphere (right by the ocean), great staff (casual, friendly, polite, efficient), great food (including fresh catch of the day) and most importantly, very reasonable pricing. This is the hidden spot of Miami Beach. Was there on dinner on Sunday and going back again tonight (Tuesday)! One little suggestion to the owners, the background Lounge music volume can be a tiny bit lower, but really it didn't bother us. Love Lola
(5)Roger A.
Wow! What a great find hidden gem in mid beach condo building. Chimichurri marinated chicken is five stars!!! Stupendous :). So delicious, melt on your mouth bird. Top five chicken of all time. Also tried the shirt steak which was good but nothing memorable like the chicken. Cluck cluck!! Good sangria too. The place was empty so I hope it does not close. Did I mention that the chicken is fantabulous?
(4)Zoe M.
Myself and my partner visited this restaurant tonight looking for a good well cooked steak meal. Upon arrival I was impressed by the decor, peaceful atmosphere and the service received whilst being seated and having our order taken. The menu at Lola has a good variety, is reasonably priced and the food was amazing!!! The reason I am only awarding this restaurant 3*s is that although the food was delicious and I was happy with the price and service received in the beginning, I'm sorry to say that not long after our food was served, a large group arrived who appeared to be familiar with the restaurant and it's staffed and then from this point we were pretty much ignored!! We had our main food plate left in front of us empty for approx 40mins before anyone noticed us and had to prompt staff for further assistance. I really would have loved to have had desert here based on the standard of food I had already tasted but after the length of time we waited for our plates to be cleared and the noise from the large group that arrived which was very aggravating ... We just wanted to pay up and leave, so we did.
(3)Brad D.
I really enjoyed my dinner at Lola. It is kind of a secret place, tucked inside of a beachfront condo building in Mid Beach (a 2 minute drive on collins north of Eden Roc and Fontainebleau). Ambiance was great, with live jazz music and beautiful decor overlooking the beach. Food was equally as good. I will definitely return.
(5)Eric T.
Had dinner at Lola and sat on patio. Service was marginal but food was great. Staff had trouble keeping up with guests on the patio for things like water, bread and other basics. Lack of service was enough to drive this down to 3 stars.
(3)Ritta V.
Great place for kids and groups!Good food and great service. Pastas and desserts highlight this restaurant and I really recommend coming here if you're ever in Miami.
(5)Vanessa J.
We ordered the chimichurri chicken, filet mignon, civiche, and triple brownie... All so good! The sangria was the best we've ever sipped! The service was on point too. Romantic place but also a great location for a girls dinner!
(5)Regina P.
Two stars because #1 the ambiance is nice. It has that modern feel to it without being obnoxious #2 the mussel pot appetizer was cooked perfectly. It was incredibly flavorful and very well served That's it. Service was beyond atrocious. Server seemed like he was in a rush or something. One entree was completely forgotten so when all other dishes came out we reminded the server. He acted like we had never ordered it and said it was going to take 25 min. The steak that was ordered was lukewarm. Server brought one desert while table was still full of entree plates. Then forgot another desert. It was just all around a very annoying experience because of the service. I really couldn't believe how dismissive and forgetful they were being. Too bad.
(2)Dania V.
Beautiful place. Excellent food. Reasonable prices. We tried the deboned chicken chimichurry and the steak and there were perfectly cooked. Beet salad was delicious.
(5)Rose K.
I've been there for 3 times and I enjoyed it. Steak was delicious. Place is cosy. Perfect dinner. Thanks to Maria, who was serving us. Definitely, I'll go to Lola Restaurant again.
(5)Gongming L.
Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous! Great food, warm environment and friendly staff. Lola is a Miami must have. Peruvian Style Ceviche Mixto is highly recommended. So is their Lemon Salmon (and everything else I tried:) Make sure you give 'Catch of The Day' a try. It will surprise you in an unimaginable way!
(5)Boshen F.
Really nice place. Love the fish there.
(4)Denise C.
As out of towners, we relied heavily on Yelp for food suggestions. Since there were such positive reviews, we decided to give this place a shot. I wish this review was based on food but sadly, our service was so deplorable we left before we could even eat. After waiting for 15 minutes, our waiter finally came over & took our orders. We put our drink, entree & appetizer order in at the same time. After waiting for 20 minutes, we find out after having to flag our waiter down, he forgot to put in our appetizer order. At this point, we say forget the appetizer. No biggie. At no time, as we were waiting, did our waiter come over & check on us or ask if anyone would like another drink, as two of our glasses were completely empty. We wait another 40 minutes, still no entree, still no waiter, still empty glasses, still no explanation for the wait time, still absolutely no service. We're trying to get our waiter's attention, but can't. At this point, we decide to leave. The restaurant was not full, half of the tables were empty & we're getting absolutely zero service. We had to ask another waiter for our check since we can't manage to get our waiter to make his way to our table. She tells our waiter we'd like our check & suddenly, he's in a rush, does not come to our table but 5 minutes later, brings our entrees. If there was any type of communication from our waiter about anything, we would have stayed. But instead of informing us about what was going on, or apologizing for the wait, it seemed as if he just completely ignored us. And, at no point did he bring us the check so that we could pay for our drinks. Instead, he has the chef come out to question us as to why we were leaving instead of apologizing and finding out what happened. We insisted on paying for our drinks, he said do not worry about it. We leave the restaurant and the chef then follows us outside of the restaurant questioning us instead of questioning his waitstaff. I understand waiter's have no control over the kitchen but they do have the ability to check in, make sure we're doing alright, ask if there's anything we need, apologize for the wait, none of which was done. Hands down the worst experience I have had ever while attempting to dine out. Not worth the trip or hassle.
(1)Kera C.
This place was delicious! We had the blue cheese croquettes with fig, mushroom ravioli, filet, & the star of the night was their special of squid ink ravioli stuffed with lobster & topped with shrimp.
(5)Sandra G.
Definitely a must to try out in the area! The food was delicious! The mashed potatoes were amazing and the best I've ever eaten. The sangria was sweet and well prepared. There was also enough in the pitcher that a group could all enjoy it. The atmosphere and view were both relaxing and beautiful. It was also reasonably priced. The waiter MartÃn was attentive and catered to the group constantly ensuring that our glasses were full and everything was to our liking. Major bonus points for the fact that he does look like George Clooney. Would most definitely dine here again.
(5)Sherrie B.
Visiting Miami Beach for a long weekend and wrapped up our stay with dinner at Lola's. Absolutely delicious and impeccable service. Located on the second floor of a condo building, you enter a romantic red and black interior..certainly unexpected. We started with a nicely priced prosecco, mussels in a scrumptious sauce and beet salad with watercress and goat cheese. Branzino was the special of the day with shrimp in a lemon butter sauce. My daughters enjoyed strip steak and pasta with shell fish. A warm brownie and chocolate ice cream completed our decadent meal. Don't miss this treasure!!
(5)Jose A.
Went to the restaurant with the family. The recommendations from the host were very on point. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend the restaurant
(4)Dawn W.
Great food and great service! We went to for a bachelorette party and or waiter was very good at catering to all our needs and all of our picture needs! Great ambience and very exclusive feel. The ceviche is amazing! Definitely great place to go and not expensive. Great find!
(5)Christopher B.
This is a great restaurant. The lunch menu was awesome. I had the best cheeseburger ever and the service was great.
(5)Bella A.
Great service and food is delish! The prices are reasonable. Would recommend going here for bachelorette dinner or date night. The waiter looks like George Clooney.
(5)Mamma M.
What a great find!!!! Yes, it might be a little hard to find, but when you do, you will keep coming back! I enjoy every single second I am in Lola. From the chic decor to the friendly staff. The food is amazing!!!! The "Mussels Provencal" melt in your mouth. The "Boconccini di Parma" are to die for. The "Salmon" is cooked to perfection. Everything I've tried has exceeded my expectations. Hidden gem. Would of never found it on my own, but so glad I did. Everything was great, ceviche, sliders, melted in your mouth. Churrasco was perfect, and the pasta special (shrimp scampi) was spectacular. Atmosphere was very hip, and service was excellent. Even though it is out of my way, we will def come back

Delicious food and hidden jem. After going to a couple overpriced SoBE locations, it was nice to eat here, worth every penny. Sangria delicious, skirt steak perfect! My husband enjoyed the spinach gratin!

We walked to this location from our hotel. It's a little difficult to find, unless you're looking for it. When we got there, it was 6:45 on a Wednesday, but no other customers were there. It was a little off putting. We ordered sangria, and it was fantastic and priced well, considering how much we got. The bread they brought out before dinner was delicious. Little tiny baguettes and they were steaming warm. Dinner was less impressive. My fish was overseasoned, but edible. Dessert was classic American dessert fare. Hershey syrup-decorated plate and all. The staff was not as attentive as I thought they could be, often letting our dinner plates sit for awhile. On a whole, they were friendly, and were very good about refilling our wine glasses. As we left, two groups were in the dining room, but the lack of customers and weird location seemed to be hurting its business. Lastly, the bathrooms are not located in the restaurant, but down the hall in the condo complex, and in an alcove. There is no way that a person would have found the bathrooms unless directed.

It's just a little restaurant in one of the beachfront condos. But the food and service were exquisite. You feel like you are in a quality destination. We stayed in a nearby condo and chose to go to LOLAs twice during our brief 1 wk stay in Miami Beach. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent! The steak was delicious, as you'd expect in an Argentine restaurant, but the real showstopper was the chicken dish, so moist and flavorful. Honestly, this could be the best chicken I've ever had. Even our steak eater said he would get the chicken next time. (Yes, there will be a next time!) Try the provoleta appetizer--grilled provolone cheese spiced perfectly, just as we remembered from restaurants in Buenos Aires. Yum! Don't let the very odd and huge apartment building scare you away. The setting is strange but once inside it is lovely. Lola is awesome--and prices are quite reasonable.

I'd give 6 stars if it was possible. Went there for lunch and the service and food was great. Especially the cream soup, even took one to go for my wife who is a soup connoisseur. Made a reservation for the weekend and came back with friends and Claudio took such good care of all of us, it was a joy. Food, ambience, service, setting all top notch at realistic prices. Don't miss this hidden Gem!

Amazing food, reasonable prices. I live in the building and don't cook, so consequently I eat here A LOT. The service is always very good. The decorations are elegant. I've tried many different plates everything has been great! The only thing negative is that they charge 15% gratuity on delivery within the building. Which I think is bogus, I always tip more than suggested for dining in, but take out? Give me a break. The only reason I'm not taking off a star is because that won't really impact the average person reading the review.

Found this restaurant in some reviews- hidden away in older condo building. Surprisingly chic attractive restaurant inside. Service very friendly food very good and prices not Miami like ( my 8 oz filet only $20). Great ceviche and mussels appetizers. I'm sure a lot of people would overlook this restaurant, but my family loved it

I came to Lola a few days ago and am extremely happy to have found it. The food, service, and place is perfect. Specially the food.

This place was absolutely incredible. My sister and I were in town for a few days to see Miami, on our last evening we found this restaurant on Yelp. It lived up to each of the reviews. So, just a few things which might help with your experience: -Tell them you heard about them on Yelp, they will go above and beyond to make your experience just as incredible (this must be what it feels like to be a renowned food critic) -The bread they bring out pre-meal was very fresh. It was served with butter which had just a hint of a garlic herb, and it was a perfect match for the bread. -My sister tried the Mahi Mahi, which she absolutely loved, and I had the Chimichurri chicken. My server said it had been marinated for about 48 hours. It was served with the skin on, half-bone-off, and was incredibly juicy. -I ordered my meal with the mashed potatoes, which were incredibly creamy, and she ordered hers with rice. We ended up trading half of each other's sides. I'm a sucker for chicken and rice. -Above all else, the cost was truly extraordinary. I would easily have expected such a nice place to have a +$100 tab even for two people. Not even close. I have always been a high tipper when the service merits it, and this was well worth it. As we were wrapping up, the server chatted with us for a bit, asked where we're from, how we enjoyed Miami, etc. He was extremely cordial. On the way out, our server met us at the front, ensured everything was to our satisfaction, then gave us both a nice handshake and said good night.

New restaurant in Miami beach, nice and modern designed with great variety of appetizers. We tried the Thai steak Sallad and the fried blue cheese with fig marmalade and of course the Sliders! SLIDERS ARE THE BOMB. Definitely try it. As Main course I ordered a skirt steak with mashed potatoes. Steak came out nicely grilled as I ordered it..medium well, which seems to be the most difficult thing lately. But they did a great job! Great staff and good service. Id definitely recommend this place. Was too stuffed to try the desserts but next time for sure .

I went to L ola the opening week and the whole experience was amazing! Between my friends and i we ordered almost everything on the menu and everything was delicious. The croquettes, the mussels, and the salmon tartar were my fav. Their steak was so juicy and exactly how i ordered it. And for dessert we had the torrejas and the natilla and it was the best I've ever had. The decor is beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly. Overall i had an A+ experience. They even know me as a first name basis now!! I promise you'll love it.

The restaurant was a little hard to find as we were not staying in the hotel however I felt that the food was great for the price! Inside the restaurant it was a fun decor with fun music. My boyfriend and I had a great time.

We loved this place! The service is excellent and the food is very good! The waiters were very attentive and took great care of our order and taste. We are steak lovers, so we are very particular about our meat and this place didn't disappoint. It is a small restaurant with a trendy, cozy atmosphere- perfect for a quiet dinner.

Lola's has great food and prices with excellent service. It is a pleasure to dine here with their cozy setting overlooking a swimming pool with the ocean a few steps away. The decor is fresh, retro-modern and very inviting. Staff are very friendly, and the owners circulate throughout the dining room, assuring that the customers are well cared for. Their currasco steak is the best on the beach and the mini sliders are huge and delicious. Don't miss the shrimp ceviche!!

Exquisite food, live music, service and decor. And the ocean is right outside! What my family and I have tried: ceviche, blue cheese croquettes, carrot-ginger soup, mussels, mojo marinated pork with sautéed spinach and yukon gold mashed potatoes, their delicious varieties of pastas, and creme brûlée. Appetizers, entrees, and desserts we shared it all it was all amazing!

Excellent food and ambiance! And the prices cannot be beat! This is a hidden gem up on Collins Avenue and 55th Street inside a condo building. The food was delicious and even though my steak came way more done than medium rare, and I know it was misunderstanding as most of my table ordered theirs medium well, I didn't send it back as it was still juicy, soft and delicious. Seafood seviche appetizer was spectacular. Service was slow, but it didn't bother me so much, and the waiter was very friendly plus we were a large group, so maybe that's why it was slow. Looking forward to being back and trying my steak done the correct way!

My husband and I ate at Lola because we got to Miami late at night and it was one of the only places that was open near our hotel. So glad we did, though! - the food and service were wonderful. We ate out on their balcony next to the pool, and even though it was late and we were one of the only tables in the restaurant, the server didn't rush us at all and was attentive and courteous. The food was amazing - we ordered a mix of appetizers and all were delicious and reasonably priced (especially the giant bowl of ceviche - highly recommended!)

The food was awesome served hot! Friendly waitress. Restaurant has a small outside sitting by the resort's pool. Definitely recommend

If you are looking for nice ambiance, good food, attentive service at a reasonable price this is the gem of miami beach. We totally enjoyed the dining experience there. Ate al fresco overlooking the pool with ocean breezes. Started with nice wine choices and moved right into a small but interesting menu. I always respect a kitchen that does less choices better. Go..you won't regret it.

My experience at Lola's this evening motivated me to create a Yelp account just to review this restaurant. We're in Miami Beach for a getaway and have had difficulty finding a good reasonably priced restaurant. What a find Lola's is! Literally hard to find on a rainy night as it's inside a condo building but the ambience is lovely, the service warm and attentive, and the food first-rate and shockingly inexpensive for Miami Beach. We had the ceviche and salmon tartare appetizers, both ample portions of delicious fish. My wife had a huge salad Nicoise that was excellent and I had yellow-tail snapper, beautifully prepared for $17. Wine, dessert, espresso topped off a lovely romantic meal for well under $100.
